Vintage cars on Lake Como: Concorso d’Eleganza 2021

Vintage cars return to parade among the wonderful landscapes of Lake Como. After the missed edition of 2020, the Concorso d’Eleganza di Villa d’Este returns from 1st to 3rd October, three days entirely dedicated to the beauty of classic vehicles.

The most awaited event by vintage car enthusiasts on Lake Como

Since 1929, the year of its first edition, the Concorso d’Eleganza di Villa d’Este is the most prestigious and traditional event dedicated to vintage cars. Since then, every year Cernobbio is preparing to host the most beautiful and important classic vehicles to admire and evaluate their design, originality and state of conservation.

The cars are divided into categories and judged by an exclusive team of experts with the aim of awarding the BMW Group Trophy, the “Best of Show” a trophy reserved only for the most exceptional cars able to best express beauty, passion and uniqueness.

Beauty is not only evident from the exhibition of these vehicles unique in their genres. The exhibition, in fact, takes place in one of the most prestigious hotels in the world, the Grand Hotel Villa d’Este that combining the magnificence of its buildings and gardens overlooking the wonderful Lake Como, allows visitors to live a unique experience.

Which are the news of the 2021 edition?

This will not be the usual Concorso d’Eleganza. This year because of the restrictions the access will be limited. For this reason the usual event open to the public at Villa Erba and the competition of Motorcycles will not be held. Therefore the exhibition will be entirely hosted at Villa d’Este.

An aspect of great importance that is not going to be missing, is the competing participants’ cars tour. The parade of vintage cars on Lake Como will start the 30th September from Cernobbio passing through Como, along the shores of the lake to Bellagio and returning from Asso. The cars can be admired by everyone during the stop for lunch in Bellagio.
