Villa Carlotta, from Tremezzo to conquer the world

Villa Carlotta has recently changed director, the new one is Mariangela Privitera, from Tremezzo, a great expert of our region that has recently submitted new ideas that they want to implement to promote the property. For the spring reopening scheduled for March 18th, Villa Carlotta, that is known throughout the world for its beauty, will focus on three points that make you know and appreciate it even more.

Villa Carlotta, museum and the botanical garden in summer and in winter

Villa Carlotta, always, has always more visit during spring, this because of the
large botanical garden and its flowering, that attracts many people who return each year to admire it. It is also true that Villa Carlotta is a splendid eighteenth-century structure with an important museum, that contains many rooms full of masterpieces, among which we remember the most famous copy of ‘Love and Psyche’ by Canova.

For this reason the communication project this year will aim to involve users even in winter and during special events. The tendency to value Villa Carlotta and other amazing villas such as that of Balbianello (FAI heritage) even in different seasons than spring or summer, was begun this winter, when the opening for the Immaculate’S Feast has been very successful.

Villa Carlotta: networking in Italy and abroad in the name of culture

Another key path will be to strengthen relationships and alliances in the Como area. Just as happened in the past, we will create packages and special promotions with the cooperation of the other Lake Como villas and with transport or navigation’s companies. Last but not least we will try to encourage the creation of relationships with national and international institutions, to increase visitors that in 2015 were about 200.00 people.

Villa Carlotta is located in Tremezzo, just about half an hour by car or bus from our Hotel (you can find the bus stop just near us). However, you should visit Villa Carlotta in a boat journey, because you can comfortably take it in front of our Hotel.
