Today we bring you to the summit for the “Via dei Monti Lariani” to the Rifugio Murelli, a walk that takes about two hours and a half. The Refuge is located on Mount Bisbino – Sasso Gordon’s ridge – about 1200 mt. above the sea level. The “Via dei Monti Lariani” up to “Rifugio Murelli” is among the most scenic routes: it starts from Tosnacco, a small Moltrasio suburb. For this reason, if you want to reach Tosnacco by walk from our hotel, consider adding about 20 minutes of easy walk. Follow the signs to the trail 1 (Via dei Monti Lariani) and then go towards Monte Liscione where begin the climb.

The “Via dei Monti Lariani” is on a scenic trail surrounded by beech trees and sunny meadows with a fantastic view of the Lake Como’s first basin. When you cross the crossroad, follow the signs to the “Rifugio Bugone”. After about 40 minutes you will arrive at the “Rifugio Murelli”. We are sure you will love the last stretch of this trail! Rifugio Murelli is a wide building, a former Italian financial police barrack, and it is open all year. Guests can expect a warm welcome and a menù with traditional dishes.
