The romantic terrace with the most beautiful view: a Dolce Vita evening
I often get asked for suggestions about where to spend an evening with your better half. There you have it, a post made just for you, a must-follow suggestion to lead you to the most romantic terrace there is!
Us girls, always dreaming about the perfect romantic evening. We always imagine to find ourselves with our beloved at our side, in a warmly colored place that encloses us in a sweet embrace. We would like to be in a spectacular location, completely immersed in the “Dolce Vita”. Sometimes these dreams aren’t so hard to realize, often they are closer than we think.
For example girls always like to be asked out on a date. Not in the usual fast food where you eat every day but in a special place, super romantic. Needless to say that the chosen restaurant must come with a view to take the breath away, must be quiet and welcoming, possibly candle-lit. The personnel should be discreet but impeccable, polite but not intrusive. Of course we can’t forget that is a dinner we are talking about, so the food should be genuine, refined, of excellent quality and accompanied by a glass of wine.
The view is not a detail to be neglected. It may vary, but the romantic sunset is definitely a must that bestows a warm hue to the the start of this romantic evening. From the skyline of a big city silhouetted against the colors of the sky to a table by the sea, ending on a terrace reflected in a romantic mountain lake.
Where can we find all of this together? By the shores of Como Lake we suggest the restaurant “La Veranda” in Moltrasio, perfect if you stay at the Hotel Posta in Moltrasio.
Never a name was more appropriate: the restaurant “La Veranda” actually welcomes his guests in a beautiful covered terrace that can be closed with screen doors in case of bad weather, still allowing the diners the pleasure of the magic view that Como Lake offers.
Seat yourselves, carefree, at one of the intimate tables and let the Maitre guide you through the day’s specials. Homemade regional pasta like the Risotto alla Lariana or the signature Ravioli with a pine nuts sauce: you can’t miss out on the fresh fish from the lake such as Agoni in Carpione or grilled Lario’s Missoltini obviously accompanied by a glass of good white wine, all by candlelight.
The evening can then continue with the most romantic of walks, hand in hand by the lake, cradled by the faint sound of the waves and then the icing on the cake, a night at the Hotel Posta in Moltrasio.
After all this talking of romantic evenings….I already started dreaming about mine own by the Lake of Como…and you, what are you waiting for?
