Parolario, the Book Festival on Lake Como

Parolario is an engaging Festival dedicated to books that takes place on Lake Como. Since 2001 every year it has been very successful with numerous visits: tourists, visitors and Como people. What makes this Festival so interesting is the opportunity to meet directly with great artists such as writers, scientists, literate, philosophers, poets, thanks to events and sharing moments distributed across the entire Lake Como’s territory.

Where is the Parolario Festival?

The head office of Parolario is Villa Olmo in Como, embraced by its lovely park that stretches gently on the lake. Other locations in Como are Villa del Grumello and Villa Sucota – of the Antonio Ratti Foundation. Moving from Como, you could live “Parolario” also in Cernobbio, at Villa Bernasconi, a splendid liberty jewel, or in Brunate, at the library.

The 2017 Parolario’s edition: all the info to not miss an event

The seventeenth Parolario’s edition will take place from June 15th to June 24th in Como.
The first big event is on June 15th at 5pm with the Inauguration at Villa Olmo. Then there will be all the big and small events such as the “Feast of Children with Origami” on June 16th. Other meetings such as the dialogue on “How can cultural assets contribute to the economic development of the territory” or the Antonio Monti’s interview about “The court of miracles” will offer you the opportunity to expand your knowledge and to compare you with the individual differences that make up people’s numerous personalities.

How to get to the Parolario’s Festival from our Hotel Posta in Moltrasio?

You can choose the car: you will arrive at your destination in a short time, along the Lake Como. Cernobbio is about 5 minutes away, Como about 15 minutes. To reach Brunate we suggest you take the traditional funicular that will allow you a stunning view of the city.

By boat: a solution that we recommend (in front of our Hotel you find the boat) for comfort and to enjoy the wonders of our lake in a unique way. In Como take a short walk to Villa Olmo or head for the Brunate funicular.
