Palio of Baradello Como
Como and the Palio of Baradello.
From the 30th August to the 30th September, the city of Como welcomes the 33th edition of the Baradello’s Palio .
Five villages will participate at this new edition : Camerlata, S. Martin, Tavernola, Camnago Volta and the Town of Cernobbio.
Program:
It begins on Friday 30th August at the Basilica of Sant’Abbondio with the offering Candle Votive ceremony .
The races will start on Friday 6th September with the test of “Racing on stilts”, followed by Sunday, 8th September in Piazza San Fedele will be held the “Cariolana” and Sunday 15h September in Piazza Cavour proof of the “Tug of War”.
The most awaited moment is the “Grand Historical Pageant of Barbarossa” scheduled for Sunday, 15th September starting at 3.00 p.m. from the square dell’Ippocastano and parade through the city, before landing in Piazza Cavour.
