Gourmet autumn 2016 on Lake Como

Our incredible dining experiences are coming back to La Veranda Restaurant in Moltrasio.

Autumn is coming: it can not miss on our Hotel’s program the gastronomic festival dedicated to the typical dishes of the local, Lombard and Italian, old tradition. From 22th October until 11th December every weekend La Veranda Restaurant will be an opportunity to taste specialties that without leaving Moltrasio are going to take us around the world.

  • October 22th and 23th

Ossobuco (sliced veal shank) “gremolada” with a risotto Milanese pie.

Milan and Lombardy traditional dish: a old time taste that bring immediately to the Milan’s past, between fog and trams.

  • From 29th October to 1st November

White truffle “variation”

His Majesty the Truffle: intense and special flavor that gives to each dish a memorable taste.

  • 5th and 6th November

Mixed fried fish

Fried Fish is a specialty that combines all Italy. Where there is sea there is fish and where there’s fish, there’s certainly a mixed fried fish waiting for you. In November, you can enjoy it with us.

  • 11th,12th and 13th November

San Martino’s Tripe

Let’s go back to Lombardy with three days dedicated to the tripe. Among the poor dishes of the past because it was cooked by farmers, today has become a traditional food and typical of Lombardy and Como culture.

  • 19th and 20th November

Cazzoela (pork “bottaggio”)

Our culinary experience end with style thanks to the official poorest and most well-known Lombard / Como dish: the “cazzoela”.

The peasants had nothing, only pork scraps and cabbages: for days they cooked them over a low heat. Of course today this is our traditional dish. For a real Como experience, there is no winter without Cazzoela!

  • 26th and 27th November


For a weekend we to go to Valencia, Spain, to let you taste the perfumes of an excellent paella.

  • 8th and 11th December

Polenta and wild boar

A winning combination that mixes traditions of northern Italy thanks to the polenta with wild boar meat, always particularly welcome for a wild, rich and flavorful taste, but not too intense.
