Autumn has arrived, and with the fresh weather returns our appetite: what better season to taste the typical Larian food?
I believe that autumn is a very beautiful season despite the rain: the rapid transformation of the color of the leaves, moving from a bright green to yellow or red fire; the temperature is mild, almost cool at night, which allows you to sleep under the warm blankets without sweating; the air that changes, with it’s scent of undergrowth wet mixture to the hot and pungent smell of fireplaces. In short, a time of year perfect for cuddling and warm your body with typical products of our region.
In this season the Hotel Posta Moltrasio creates a series of gastronomic events, titled “Larian Autumn’s Gourmet”. The days devoted to of autumn’s products began last weekend and continue through the Immaculate day. Perfect idea to combine with your days on the Lake Como’s shores, after a beautiful lakeside walking or at the end of an afternoon dedicated to the chestnut harvest.

- 7 and 8 November San Martino’s Trippa (tripe)

During these weekends in our La Veranda Restaurant you can taste our autumn products. In particular, on 7 and 8 November you will find a very typical dish of our tradition: San Martino’s tripe, prepared every year in Moltrasio to mark the Nov. 11th, St. Martin, our patron. Of course in addition to the special menu you could find also our classic a la carte menu, where you can choose specialties of the Lake as well as traditional Italian dishes.
