Gastrolario: the gastronomic Como festival at La Veranda Restaurant

Are you lovers of our Como’s typical cuisine? Here there’s what you need: Gastrolario. From 1st to 31st October the first edition of this gastronomic festival will take place to taste all the goodness of the many specialties of the Como’s province.

How does Gastrolario work?

There are 58 restaurants that partecipate to this festival, divided into three different sections corresponding to the three different Como’s gastronomic areas:

• Hill
• Lake
• Mountain

Also our Restaurant La Veranda participates to Gastrolario

Each restaurant will create a personalized menu specifically for the event. All will be made entirely with products, recipes and typical local dishes in the classic form or reinterpreted by the chefs.

All the various recipes will then be collected by a special technical commission to create, year after year, a general repertoire of typical Como’s cuisine.

All the customers can then fill into the Gastolario website with a rating sheet to express their opinion about the menu of the chosen restaurant.
At the end of the festival there will be the “night of the gastronomic Oscars in Como”, where each chef will tell his own gastronomic choices… and we want to send our chef Paolo!
