The Christmas tradition at the Hotel Posta Moltrasio

Holy Christmas is coming and at the Hotel Posta Moltrasio we are ready to celebrate it with our guests. First, as every year, we prepared our colorful tree, and we chose to keep it in the Hotel to share with all of our clients the magic of the most awaited festival of the year. Then, as always we decorated the Hotel with a Christmas theme: we love Christmas, and it shows!

Our family from many years now passes the Christmas period in an alternative way, not closed at home as many. The passion for tradition and hospitality made us take the decision to hold the Hotel Posta also open on Christmas Day, to celebrate it with all those who decide to spend this day with us.

Perhaps it may seem strange, but the Hotel is our second home and our guests become part of the family. We also created a special menu for the Christmas’ Lunch 2015 with warm bundle of sweetbreads, artichokes and goat soft cheese, skewered tuna and salmon on mashed pumpkin and peas, cannelloni with bechamel…and it does not end here! In a typical “Como’s” lunch can not miss the capon and the traditional Panettone, along with mandarin and eggnog dessert.

In short, a lunch not to be missed. Other local specialties for Christmas are the polenta, risotto with saffron, and the tripe. The most popular meat in the house for Christmas were chicken, capon or rabbit. Fish was spread only here on the lake, while calf was considered a product just for the rich people.

Every year on Christmas morning we exchange gifts and wishes, then we begin to prepare our menu for everyone. Unmistakable is the smell that greets guests at the entrance of the Restaurant La Veranda. Celebrate Christmas with us, as always, with a smile! For dinner, the restaurant will be closed, to permit us to celebrate Christmas with the whole family.

Warm wishes for a Merry Christmas to all those who will not be our guests on December 25th, see you soon!
